Saturday afternoon at the Goldstein Museum

Today in the afternoon i made a trip to the Goldstein Museum of Design on the St. Paul campus of the University of Minnesota. The current exhibit is called Inside Her Clothes, of selections from their fashion collection exhibited inside-out, or arranged with the garment open so you can see the interior. I'll be writing it up formally and extensively in La Bricoleuse later on (maybe tomorrow?) but figured i'd share some random shots from the day here first.

Pretty exciting to discover what a literary city Minneapolis is! Spotted this book drop for a sustainability-focused secondhand bookstore.

Tennis-ball-sized marigold on the UM-SP campus.

 In the design center lobby.

One shot from the exhibit to give an idea how the displays looked. I'll share more images and thoughts later on

Totally unrelated: one of my coworkers, artist-activist Gavin Rouille, gave me this pincushion of horrible Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels. He created a series of cat toys and pincushions featuring the portraits of genocidal dictators and their regime collaborators. The back of the pincushion has text explaining the crimes and atrocities perpetrated by its subject.
