Uptown Minneapolis
I don't mean to be so secretive about the job, but they've got the most extensive nondisclosure agreement (with respect to blogging/social media) that i've seen outside of film/TV. Which makes sense, since a lot of this company's contracts are to do costumes for live-action versions of film/TV shows. So i reread the language and i can say that I'm working on this show, on the pup team. There are videos on YouTube, should you want to see what that means. Searching on the show's title will pop up loads of them. I'm not going to link to any of them though, because i would think that if the parent company is as vigilant as their contracts seem to indicate, it's only a matter of time before they go after these videos on there and get them removed.
Anyway, on Sunday i rode the bus up to check out an area of town called Uptown, specifically because they have a well-known independent bookstore there (Magers and Quinn) and a John Fluevog shoe boutique. Every time i'm in a town where there's a Fluevog store, i go try on a load of their shoes so i can see how various styles fit in person.

Sign in the bookstore window:
"Thing which don't shift and grown are dead things."
Cool throw pillow idea i'm totally going to make, in the window of a furniture store.
The Fluevog store is there on the corner, under this old-fashions moviehouse marquee.
The stores usually have shoes like this on display so you can see the interior construction of some of their stock styles.
These didn't come in my size (they only did them in men's sizes) but i love them.
I did buy these because that crocodile band! That sharpened toe!
