It's my birthday!
I had to work, but i love the job so that was actually not at all a bad thing. And, there were lots of birthdays this week so the fridge in the break room was full of free ice cream!
After work, I decided to check out the Textile Center of Minnesota, which is conveniently located at the same train stop as my job. Here are some pictures from that:

This is a really cool idea. The garden area surrounding the center is all plants from which natural dye processes may be derived!
One of the exhibits included art by Mayumi Takahashi, who creates tiny dolls in dioramas which are fiber reinterpretations of Klimt paintings. This one is Takahashi's take on Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer.

They also have a large dyeshop, but there was a class running in there so i couldn't take a pic.
