A Day Spent Wandering
Thursday, i attended a talk at the Edinburgh Central Library, then a colleague and i went wandering around the gardens and burial grounds, looking for a place to sit and work. Here are some pictures of what we saw.

Saw these outside the butcher next door. We never see this in the US anymore really.

The name of this law practice made me laugh.

Brass sculptural map of the castle and city centre, labeled in braille for the blind.

Determination.

Rope carved in stone is a popular architectural embellishment here.

Carven thistle.

Stone mourner at St. Cuthbert's.

A robbed grave?

Bootmaker's tombstone.

The "(SEE OTHER SIDE) at the bottom of this stone cracked me up.

Spooky ornate carving on a stone from the 18th century.

Mossy skull teeth.

This fellow died in 1763 at the age of 27.
yesterday, i went to Stirling Castle, but that'll be another post.
