Stirling Castle
Yesterday I went with a group of fellow students and teachers to Stirling Castle, and then to the William Wallace Monument. I've been doing so much writing for work, i'm hoping my posts of photos stand in for many thousands of untyped words. :)

Garden just past the moat wall of Stirling.

Stirling is a collage of structures from different eras.

Wee room down by the kitchens.

Rampart wall and the view.

Cemetery far below the castle walls.

Ramparts.

Looks like the opening of Hamlet, where's the ghost?

More of the view/walls.

Stones for lobbing at attackers.

Union Jack flies over Stirling,

Highlands in the distance. Scottish weather makes misty mountains.

The clouds here always look like landscape paintings.

More of that nautical rope at the Wallace monument.

The base of the tower at the top of the monument hill.

Trail marker, or tombstone?
(Trail marker, but i like its ambiguity.)
